If there is one place in the world where food and travel blend into something unforgettable, it is Korea. Whether you’re feasting on sizzling street snacks in the heart of Seoul or slurping cold noodles on a spring day in Busan, every meal tells a story. Korean cuisine is a rich tapestry of bold flavours, seasonal ingredients and centuries-old techniques that deliver nourishment, comfort and incredible variety. You do not just eat in Korea. You connect with it.

What makes Korea a standout destination for food travellers is the sheer diversity of experiences on offer. One moment you are at a humble street cart savouring spicy tteokbokki, and the next you are seated in a traditional hanok dining on royal cuisine. Each city has its own culinary identity, from the umami-packed black pork of Jeju Island to the delicate, chilled noodles of Busan, all set against the backdrop of vibrant cities, beautiful landscapes and warm hospitality.

01. Choryang Milmyeon, Dong-gu, Busan

A very busy restaurant right outside Busan Station serving Busan-style cold noodles and warming mandu, what’s there not to like? The noodles have a unique texture, slippery and chewy. The meal comes with a teapot which you can pour a delicious hot soup out of too

02. Bupyeong Kkangtong Market, Busan

Everybody knows Busan to be a great city for food, and this market is a real mecca for the city’s bustling food culture. The tteokbokki stall is arguably the most famous food there, but there’s something for everyone whether you’re looking for a restaurant to dine in or street snacks

The Bupyeong Kkangtong market is an incredible place to immerse yourself into Busan’s food culture!

03. Jeju Island Grill, Seogwipo, Jeju

You can’t visit Jeju Island without trying the local offering, Jeju black pork, at least once. They say it’s the upper echelon of pork in a country that loves it’s samgyeop-sal. Seogwipo is a small city, the second largest in Jeju Island behind Jeju City, and driving up to a restaurant building that looks like something out of wonderland really reminds you you’re at a paradise away from home
